Terms of Service

Pixloom is in free beta. These terms explain what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Pixloom is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], a [ENTITY TYPE, e.g. Delaware LLC] (“Pixloom”, “we”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Pixloom does

Pixloom generates images from text descriptions and serves them from permanent URLs. You can use it through the dashboard, a REST API, or a drop-in script tag on your own site.

3. This is a beta

This matters more than anything else on this page. During the beta:

  • The service is free. There is no payment, and no paid plan is being sold yet.
  • There is no uptime commitment, no support commitment, and no service level of any kind.
  • Features may change or be removed. We may reset data, revoke access, or end the beta with little or no notice.
  • Do not use Pixloom for anything you cannot afford to lose or rebuild. Keep your own copies of anything that matters.

4. Your account

Use a real email address you control. You are responsible for everything done with your account and your API keys, so keep secret keys server-side and never put them in a browser. Publishable keys are domain-locked and safe to expose; secret keys are not. Tell us promptly if you believe a key has leaked.

5. What you may not do

  • Generate sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a real person without consent. This is the one rule with no tolerance and no appeal.
  • Generate content that is illegal where you are, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Impersonate a real person or organisation, or produce images intended to deceive people about who said or did something.
  • Resell raw API access, or use Pixloom to build a directly competing generation API.
  • Circumvent generation limits, rate limits, or domain locks, including by creating multiple accounts.
  • Scrape the library in bulk, or attempt to extract prompts or model configuration.

We may remove content or suspend accounts for violations. Egregious cases end the account immediately.

6. Your prompts and your images

You keep whatever rights you have in the prompts you write. Subject to these terms, we place no additional restriction on your use of images you generate, including commercial use.

We make no warranty that a generated image is free of third-party rights. AI models can reproduce recognisable styles, marks, and likenesses. Checking that an image is safe for your particular use is your responsibility, and it matters most for commercial use.

7. The shared library

Read this one carefully. Pixloom keeps a shared library of generated images. When someone asks for an image close enough to one already in the library, we serve the existing image instead of generating a new one. That is what keeps the service cheap enough to offer a free tier.

Images you generate may be added to that shared library, where other users can see, search and use them. Library copies are watermarked and are not attributed to you. Your prompt text may be stored alongside the image and shown publicly.

You can turn this off. Flywheel opt-out is an account setting, and with it enabled none of your images enter the shared library. Images already added before you opted out stay in the library, because other people’s pages may already reference them.

Do not generate anything confidential, personal, or commercially sensitive without opting out first.

8. Limits

Free beta accounts get 100 generations per month. Requests served from cache or from the shared library do not count against that. We may change limits, and we may rate-limit or throttle usage that threatens the service for everyone else.

9. Ending things

You may delete your account at any time. Doing so removes your account, your API keys, and your generated images, except for images already promoted to the shared library (see section 7). We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.

10. No warranty, and limited liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated images will meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Pixloom is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months (during the free beta, that is nothing) or [CAP, e.g. US$100]. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will make a reasonable effort to tell account holders. Continuing to use Pixloom after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the courts of [VENUE, e.g. county and state].

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: [CONTACT EMAIL]. Postal address: [BUSINESS ADDRESS].
